מה אני חוקר?

أنا أدرس أنثروبولوجيا، وتخصصي هو المجتمع الفلسطيني، تعنيني مسألة العلمانية، وعلاقتها بالتعبيرات الجمالية في المجتمع، (خصيصا العلاقات ما بين السياسي والجمالي)، كما أني مهتم بمفهوم السيادة والعلاقة ما بين العلوم الحديثة والإرث الديني، أحب أن أدرس النظرية الإجتماعية وتطورها وأحب أن أدرس أيضا المفكرين الذين هم خارج الأنثروبولوجيا لكن فكرهم قد يفيدها كثيرا، أشخاص مثل أرندت، نيتشه وفيتغنشتاين. 

אני מלמד אנתרופולוגיה, עם דגש על אנתרופולוגיה של החברה הפלסטינית. הנושאים שמעניינים אותי במיוחד הן שאלת החילוניות ויחסה לביטויים אסתטיים בחברה, כמו היחסים בין הפוליטי והאסתטי. מעבר לכך אני עוסק גם בסוגיית הריבונות והקשר בין המדע המודרני והמסורת הדתית והתיאולוגית. זאת ועוד, אני גורס שעל מנת ללמד תיאוריה חברתית והתפתחותה יש לייבא הוגים כמו ארנט, ניטשה וויטגנשטיין ואחרים. שכן התיאוריה החברתית יונקת גם ממקורות פילוסופים ומקורות תרבותיים עמוקים.
