Effect of obesity on kidney physiology, histologyand function – human in-vivo and in-vitro studies.

Kidney lipotoxicity in diabetes and obesity – studies in humans kidney biopsies with RNA, DNA and protein determinations.

DNA damage and repair – studies in-vivo and in-vitro in humans with CRF, kidney transplantations, with special interest in carcinogenesis and transplantation.

Phosphate nephropathy – clinical studies in humans. Studies of glomerulonephritis in rat models.
