פיתוח נגזרת של אליצין (החומר הפעיל בשום) כתרופה המשפעלת את מנגנוני ההגנה התאיים כנגד נגזרות חמצן פעילות – (ROS) הוכחת יעילותה בתרבית רקמה ובחיות מעבדה כטיפול למחלות נוירודגנרטיביות, ניוון רשתית העין וקטרקט, מחלות כלי דם ואוסטיאופורוזיס.
