ד"ר אלזה פרחי קיבלה דוקטורט במתמטיקה שימושית מאוניברסיטת סופיה, בולגריה ב 1986. עבדה כחוקרת במכון המתמטי של האקדמיה למדעים הבולגרית בין 1984-1990. אחרי עלייתה לארץ מ- 1991 היא הועסקה באוניברסיטת תל-אביב בעבודת הוראה ומחקר. מ-2003 היא הצטרפה לסגל האקדמי של בית הספר למדעי המתמטיקה באוניברסיטת תל-אביב כחוקרת.
Elza Farkhi received her Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics - operations research, from the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Sofia University, Bulgaria, in 1986. She has been a researcher at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in the period 1984-1990. Since 1991 she worked as a lecturer and a researcher in the School of Mathematical Sciences at Tel-Aviv University, Tel Aviv, Israel. Since 2003 she is appointed as a research associate in the School.
