Research Interests

The Ram lab studies evolutionary biology, ecology, behavior, and cultural evolution using computational, mathematical, and statistical models and collaborations with experimental biologists. We use models to tackle both theoretical and concrete questions in population biology. Some of our current research interests are competition and cooperation in populations and communities; the co-evolution of the mechanisms that generate and transmit phenotypic, genetic, behavioural, and cultural variation; and the application of modern statistical methods, like Bayesian inference and deep learning, in population biology.
