The Buchmann-Mehta School of Music
Subscription Series
The School's series
of concerts and lectures is one of the most
successful series in Israel, with over 2000
subscribers. The series includes a symphonic series,
chamber series, vocal series, keyboard series, new
music series and several lecture series.
Hundreds of artists
take part in these series every season and donate
their performances to the school. The entire income
is donated to the school's educational and artistic
activities. Among the performers: internationally
acclaimed graduates of the school, the school
faculty of the school,
who enjoy a thriving pedagogic and artistic
career together with current outstanding students of
the school. Participation in the series enables all
the above to perform together in concert and even
appear in mixed chamber ensembles. Many concerts
present an exciting meeting of generations between
young and senior artists, and it is a recurring
feature to see in one evening's concert three or
four generations of musicians on stage together.
Most concerts are
scheduled for Thursday evenings (7:30 p.m.) and
Friday mornings (10:30 a.m.) at the exquisite
Clairmont auditorium at the school of music. The
auditorium boasts two superb grand pianos,
harpsichord and a large concert organ.
Subscriptions can
be purchased in every possible combination of the
various series.
