This design is based on renaming inheritance. I have implemented something similar but am taking a fresh look at this from the design perspective.
There a couple of objectives in the redesign.
- Make the writing of unit and regression tests easier.
- Simplify the linking up of widgets to attributes and actions.
I am a bit stuck at this stage.
