Research
Interests: Shachak's M.Sc. research was measuring the current
plate motion across the Dead Sea Fault using continuous GPS monitoring.
His Ph.D. focused on the monitoring the current uplift and deformation
of Mt. Sedom salt diapir using Ineterferometric Synthetic Aperture
Radar (InSAR). The research was done in collaboration with Stanford
University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Shachak is currently a post-doctoral fellow at the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping
(C-COM) at the University of New Hampshire, where he is currently
focusing on the Acoustic-LIDAR intercomparisons. |
