[edit] apparatus
The word "apparatus" is like "status": in Latin they belong to the fourth declination. In Latin the plurals are simply apparatus and status. In English it can be both apparatus and apparatuses, but never apparata or apparati (the latter would be the plural if it were of the second declination). --Paul Wormer 03:07, 8 December 2010 (CST)
- I see, thank you. On a wiki I am less bothered by my poor English than in my papers: someone will fix my errors! --Boris Tsirelson 05:39, 8 December 2010 (CST)
- That's true, and it's the beauty of a wiki.—Thomas Larsen (talk) 01:23, 12 December 2010 (CST)
