Adolfo Aracil (Fito) showed excellent organisational skills and the meeting oral sessions were nicely entwined with poster sessions and allowed established scientists as well as young investigators to participate and contribute. The young scientist awards allowed 12 young scientists to participate in this excellent meeting as follows:
We are very honoured and pleased to have the sponsors of the meeting including the Organizing Committee and Springer Verlag support for these young investigators. The keynote lectures introduced animal models, new techniques and novel neuropeptides. The Manfred Zimmerman award lecture was delivered by Professor Janos Szolcsanyi (Hungary) and was very well received. A very strong presence of the Spanish Neuropeptide community was noticed and appreciated. Professor Manfred Zimmerman presented the venue for the 15th Annual Meeting Riga, Latvia, World Trade Center, May 19-21, 2005. The venue is exciting and mixes old world with modern Europe and should offer a lively ground for scientific exchange. The time chosen should allow many to participate. Contact points for the Riga Meeting:
Website: www.rsu.lv/enc2005/ A pre or post-meeting tour in Poland and Lithuania was suggested by Prof. Lakomy (Poland). Contact for those interested: lakomy@moskit.uwm.edu.pl
