Bladder outlet obstruction from nodular prostatic hyperplasia has led to prominent trabeculation seen on the mucosal surface of this bladder with hypertrophy. The stasis from obstruction also predisposes to infection. The urethral obstruction can also eventually lead to bilateral hydroureter and hydronephrosis.
