What would I do with the time that I'd gain? Read books? Probably not, and even though we're now connected to cable I really don't see myself using that time to watch more television. Then again, perhaps the central question is whether or not I write these columns on my own time, or whether instead writing them detracts me from tasks that I'm paid to perform, such that I'm not really writing for free.
