Research Topics

1. Development of experimental models on animals and implementation of new methods of laboratory research.

2. Establishment of models of heart, kidney and skin transplantation in small animals to further investigate similar manipulations in a transplant model of IRI.

3. Investigation of the potential of Mesenchymal Stem cells to prolong survival of kidney, after ischemia reperfusion injury (IRI) in a mouse model. We hypothesize that MSC of bone marrow origin are involved in tubular epithelium regeneration.

4. Investigation of the potential of Bortezomib (Velcade) to prolong survival of the kidney in a stringent model of renal ishemia-reperfusion.
