Research Field: I research the genetic disease Familial Dysautonomia (FD) which is an autosomal recessive congenital neuropathy. I focus on finding a molecular therapy for the disease: I search for small molecules that affect the splicing pattern of the IKBKAP gene, which has a splicing defect in FD.
