Research Field: I research the genetic disease Familial Dysautonomia (FD) which is an autosomal recessive congenital neuropathy. I focus on understanding the molecular mechanism of the splicing of the IKBKAP gene, which is tissue specific alternatively spliced in FD, and also on finding a molecular/genetic therapy for the disease.
