Here is a "drug rash" that resulted from a medication. Patients can be taking a variety of medications and have a number of underlying diseases, so the cause for a rash may be difficult to determine. In this case, a cephalosporin antibiotic led to a leukocytoclastic vasculitis and dermal purpura to produce the lesions seen here.
