| Here is a liver with metastatic adenocarcinoma. Note the serrated edges of the metastases and the prominent central necrosis seen in the larger nodules. Of all neoplasms involving the liver, metastases are the most common, because the liver is a good place for neoplastic cells to grow. Metastases are usually multiple throughout the liver. |
