Seen here is a large translucent nabothian cyst in the outer endocervical canal. Inflammation may produce submucosal gland obstruction so that glandular cystic dilation occurs. The cyst is filled with a clear, mucoid fluid. These are common lesions, generally from a few millimeters to 1 cm in size.
