| Here is a chondrosarcoma arising in the ischium of the pelvis. The tumor is composed of lobulated glistening white to bluish-white tissue that breaks through the cortex. In general, peripheral cartilagenous tumors (e.g., fingers) are benign and those arising in the central axial skeleton are malignant. |
