I admit that you didn't have to be overly perceptive to think about it, but only now an article gets published about it: Internet helps professors catch plagiarized term papers. And on CNN no less.

There really isn't much to quote. The basic idea is in the title of the article, and all it contains is a few examples. Two years ago we examined this possibility, suggesting to college professors that if their students could find an article online that they wanted to copy, they could find it themselves as well. It wasn't hard to do then, and it's still easy.
