Being ready to find what you didn't know you were looking for.
I pass by our community library quite frequently. I even enter it and browse the
shelves, though I rarely take out a book. It was, I suppose, pure luck, and/or
coincidence, that caused me to find this particular book at this particular time.
But you've got to be prepared - even for coincidence. In other words, in different
circumstances, had I opened that particular book to that particular page, and
even reacted with that particular feeling of embarrassment for once thinking that
this was heavy stuff, I probably wouldn't have noticed that hidden within the
text was an additional example of a pick and choose approach to technology.
