Actually, though it doesn't stop to check content, the technology does take note
of lots of other things, including, for instance, how many times a particular
page has been visited, where a particular visitor is from (and from what other
page the visitor arrived at this particular page), what sort of computer he or
she is using, when the visit took place, and numerous other bits of information
that may not have seemed important to us before we had the ability to track them.
Now that we do have that ability, it often seems as though we're more concerned
with this tracking information than with the actual content of a page.
