It's happened.
A couple of the people with whom I've established contact have told me that they
rotate the files that they make available on their hard drives with quite a bit
of frequency, and that they assume that this is what other people do as well.
This means that if I've started, but not finished, downloading a particular piece
of music, I can't completely expect that I'll be able to find it at a later date.
It's not only a question of finding the person from whom I got it, but of his
or her still having it available. It also means that I may be trying to contact
someone by looking for a particular piece of music which time after time has led
me to him or her, but now, for some inexplicable reason, no longer seems to do
so.
