Getting back to a forgotten issue.

I may be bandwagoning, even trying to beat the herd (which probably isn't coming) when it comes to PPMT, but at least I can be blissfully retro about one famous long ago topic. The first report on PPMT that I read noted that:
61% of people using email at work are worried about becoming the next Claire Swires with their private messages potentially being leaked to the office and world at large
And that sort of raises the question of who, in April of 2003 even remembers who Claire Swire (most of the time her name appears without the "S") was, let along worries about becoming infamous like her. But for one fleeting moment back in December 2000 she was definitely a household name, after what seemed to be a rather innocuous e-mail report of some of her sexual exploits found itself forwarded to millions of readers. Was she for real? Perhaps, though of course it doesn't really matter - she has become part of internet folklore, and her fate continues to serve as a shining example of why we should be careful when sending e-mail. Yes, reflection on Claire Swire is enough to give anybody who sends lots of e-mail messages a substantial dose of PPMT.
