Across? Getting a message Across?


Education as we know it tends to be, almost singularly a one-way street. The teachers know something that the pupils don't, and they have the job of transmitting what they know to those pupils. Vast amounts of lip-service are paid to pedagogical methods based on developmental concepts that tell us that even if that's the way we teach, it's not the way we learn. But this remains little more than lip-service. When it comes to actually applying those methods in the classroom, only very limited change ever seems to take place.
