Some people talk a lot, and others (I guess myself included)
write a lot. Sometimes I'm doubly amazed by the amount and length of postings
in Hebrew forums because I know that so few Israelis know touch typing,
and that means that extra time is devoted to hunting out and pecking at
those keys. The school system has often touted the word processor as a
means of allowing pupils to concentrate on the input of their writing.
If they don't have to erase and correct all the time, and focus on correct
spelling and the like, they can devote more effort to actually writing.
But of course until the schools also teach touch typing getting each word
onto the screen can be a daunting task.
