Though
that particular page is almost
totally outdated, and, since most of the sites it refers to are no longer
accessible, is also an excellent example of
linkrot,
I haven't figured out how to change it, or even whether there's any point
in maintaining it. I've honestly given this problem much thought, but haven't
yet found a solution that satisfies me. For the time being, all I can do
is admit, as I've already done
elsewhere,
that the Boidem, in the way it integrates my subjective world into a seemingly
objective series of columns has usurped my "personal" home pages, and has,
essentially, become them. The personal details that are scattered throughout
the Boidem columns tell much more about me than a declarative home page.
And lest someone suggest that I simply throw out that problematic page,
I can only respond that doing that sort of thing seems distinctly to go
against the nature of the Boidem and of how the it grows and develops.
