Hand-held televisions have been around for a while, though I can't see what their attraction is. To my mind a television screen needs to be big enough to actually see the picture, and have satisfying resolution.
But why not develop a personal remote control device? The idea is really
very simple. Let's say that I'm visiting someone who has decided to read
a book instead of talk with me. His/her computer is off limits (it's personal,
remember?) so I turn on the television. But I don't know what channels
s/he has programmed. That's where personal remote control (PRC) comes in.
I simply take out my PRC from my pocket and aim it at the television, and
I get the channels I've got programmed on my own television at home. If
anyone wants to try and market the idea, contact
me. I'd be happy to sell you the rights.
