Reading what people list as the topic, or the raison d'etre of their community makes fascinating reading, though not necessarily for the right reasons.
Admittedly, one of the wonders of the internet is the fact that someone in some small town can find a like-minded person in some other similar sized town on the other side of the globe and in that way not feel alone, but that sounds like a nice idea until you read some of the topics. What follows is only a limited selection:
- Life Stuff: Let's talk about everything in life.
- ' A PLACE FOR THOSE LIKE ME' - Hardcore pix of older and younger women. Please leave your pix.
- A TIGHT PLACE - This is a tight place where everything is done my way, the right way.
- Abbasi Group - Conversation With People about any Matter
- Angelic981's Beanie Baby Community - Share your love of beanies with others here: chat, exchange ideas, etc
(Who am I to pass judgment here? There are 27 different Beanie Baby Communities within the Excite realm, and at least four of them have ten or more members. They must have something to talk about.)- Collectible Bean Bag Plush... - Discuss Limited Edition Bean Bag Plush.
- Guns, hunting and beer - Come here to share views or pictures on what calibers you think are best, what you hunt for, what you think others should hunt for, or a good beer you've tried!
(Lest someone get the impression that hunters are ineloquent, perhaps even non-verbal, jock types, quite a number of the 32 communities devoted to hunting have more than ten members. Perhaps for starters they talk about the one that got away, but once again, communities are for people who share something in common, and it seems as though these people have just that.)- big guys only club - for big men, people who love them or like them or want to help them to enjoy themselves and be well fitted out.
