May the cloud be with you.

We may be on the verge of a change in connotations. True, we tended to view people who walked around with their heads in the clouds as happy, but we also suspected that they were somewhat removed from reality. And the cloud probably held more ominous connotations than pleasant ones. Having a cloud above our head meant bad luck, and a cloudy day suggested murkiness, an impending sadness. Today, however, primarily because it allows us ubiquitous access, having the cloud constantly with us is supposed to make us happy. Retrieving any information, whether our own or someone else's, has become a simple, and perhaps as a result, a desirable, task.
