Children who grow up caring for tamagotchi pets may well be acquiring the necessary skills to become good doctors. Perhaps medical schools should even be asking their applicants whether they neglected their studies in school in order to attend to their tamagotchis - rejecting those candidates who answer that they wouldn't have dreamed of doing such a thing since their classes were much more important than their "play" time.
