Frankly, I think that the title of that column was among my best, and I'm continually surprised that it seems that nobody else has ever used it. And yet, even though I was convinced that there was at least as much hype as there was content in the term, when it became clear that Web 2.0 had become commonly accepted terminology, there was no reason to refrain from using it. I couldn't beat 'em, so joining certainly made sense.
