Putting it mildly.
Though it's perhaps accurate to write that I undertook this excursion into statistics-land
upon being explicitly requested to do so, even that's not being fully honest.
It was more a case of being asked a number of times to do this, but only upon
being explicitly instructed to do so did I actually agree to do the job.
This is clearly a case of letting my personal preferences get the better of my
professional duties, but I like it that way. Frankly, I'm not sure that cyberspace, or any other public space for that matter, would be a much worse place if we allowed our personal ethics to express themselves in our professional spheres.
