Do notes make a column?

These notes pages are simply HTML pages that don't get uploaded onto the Boidem web site when I upload the other pages. They reside in the same folder and get opened by the same programs that open my "regular" pages. The fact that I save them means that an item I've marked in green is still accessible for use on a different page, or in a future column. But this of course raises an interesting question.

In the era of the blog, perhaps it's enough to simply jot down a series of thoughts, along the lines of "here's an interesting link", or "this guy has something worthwhile to say about this". Perhaps an edited and copyread, and, for lack of a better word, finished column has become an anachronism. So much material deserves to be, at the least, perused that it's becoming difficult to justify devoting the effort to actually completing a column. It's hard not to entertain these thoughts today, though I suppose that I already answered them, at least to myself, a few months ago, when I wrote about not opening a blog (even if I can't find just where it was that I wrote that).
