Valor or Virtuous?
My first thought was, correctly, to the Hebrew àÅùÑÆú-çÇéÄì, but of course
also to its translation. Ah, but which translation. For me, the Jewish Publication
Society translation is the obvious choice, and by them it's a woman of valor.
But if we're dealing with English translations, it's hard not to check out the
King James Version, and they tell us it's a virtuous woman.
In the dictionaries and thesauri that I checked, valor and virtue aren't synonymous,
though valor is often considered a virtue. But of course it doesn't really matter,
and Amy, of the Humble Musings blog, is without a doubt virtuous, and in her willingness
to post her thoughts to her blog is also without a doubt a woman of valor.
