Dr. Mel Rosenberg is a Professor of
Microbiology at the Maurice and Gabriela Goldschleger School of Dental Medicine, Tel-Aviv
University, Israel, where he heads the Laboratory for Oral Microbiology.
He holds a joint appointment in the Department
of Human Microbiology, in the Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. Dr.
Rosenberg also holds a status appointment as Associate Professor at
the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, and an adjunct appointment as Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of
Dental Medicine. He has recently been granted an honorary position
at the Eastman Dental Institute in London, England.
Dr. Rosenberg has published over ninety scientific articles, chapters, editorials, books,
reviews and patents - some of them can be seen at this website. His work over the past
decade has focused on the diagnosis and treatment of oral malodor (bad breath). He has
edited two books dealing with research in this area, and has organized several
international meetings on the subject. Dr. Rosenberg has initiated clinics for diagnosis
and treatment of bad breath in Europe and North America. He has presented numerous
scientific lectures and continuing education seminars on the subject of bad breath. Dr.
Rosenberg recently organized an international association to promote research in this area
(The International Society for Breath Odor Research), and currently serves as its
Secretary-General, as well as editor of the Society Newsletter.
