The course is intended as an introduction to this young field for students of varied backgrounds. Basic knowledge of condensed matter physics is recommended, but all important concepts will be reviewed. By the end of the course students should be able to understand current literature and begin their own research in the field. Students from other schools (math, chemistry, engineering, etc.) are encouraged to take the course. |
